Through its secondment program, MCAN has successfully placed skilled staff from marginalized minority communities in Gedo, Baidoa, and Kismayo into key roles within partner organizations and local governance structures. These secondments have strengthened humanitarian coordination, protection, and WASH responses, while amplifying the voices of underrepresented groups in decision-making spaces. By combining professional growth for minority staff with improved, community-driven service delivery, MCAN has demonstrated a sustainable model of inclusion that benefits both institutions and the communities they serve.
