MCAN Health and Nutrition mobile clinic team’s initiative in Beledweyn, Hirshabelle, stands as a beacon of hope for communities grappling with the health challenges exacerbated by the El Niño phenomenon. By providing free medical checks, timely diagnoses, and community education, MCAN aims to empower residents to better manage their health amidst the environmental challenges they face. This collaborative effort underscores the importance of community-driven healthcare responses, ensuring that no one is left behind in the face of climate-related health since MCAN started responding of the the health and nutrition intervention the response has reached over 3530 individuals who were provided direct medication, awareness on health prevention, counseling psycho-social support in target of both IDPs and Host communities in areas highly impacted by Elnino floods.
