 This part of the focus group is dedicated to the social facets of the migration process and the participants share their experiences and views.

Seeking Social Support:

Participants ponder the role of social ties, social support, and community in keeping them safe and secure. 

They narrate their own stories of times when they or members of their communities received social support.

They do this to underline the value of solidarity and mutual assistance.

Challenges and Vulnerabilities:


The consulting also considers social vulnerabilities and risks related to society, such as discrimination and community safety.

 Participants can recall episodes of being pushed aside, discrimination and violence. In highlighting the areas or domains

where social protection measures may require more measures taken, they offer an entry point for social welfare policy improvement.

Empowerment and Resilience:


The discourse could also look into the part that social protection plays in promoting of individual and societal empowerment, steadfastness and prosperity. Participants come up with actions for increasing community solidarity, enabling social welfare, and demanding policies that safeguard the dignity and rights of all members of society.
