“Two days workshop of Empowering population of Hiraan region- Beledweyne and Tackling El Niño Impacts”

MCAN- has successfully conducted a two-days workshop that equipped the participants knowledge and skills needed to prepare for and respond to the impacts of El Niño in the Beledweyne, Hirshabelle Region. To Ensure active participation by incorporating interactive activities, group discussions, and hands-on exercises. The participants were provided opportunities for networking and sharing experiences among themselves, and Use of local language and examples to make the content more relatable and understandable.
The two-days workshop benefited 50 participants including the following groups, women, youth, boys, girls elderly minorities IDPs, and persons living with disability

MCAN recently pivoted a two-days training workshop aimed at fortifying the Beledweyne community in the Hirshabelle Region against the adversities posed by El Niño. Through a meticulously designed agenda, participants were equipped with both knowledge and practical skills necessary to navigate and mitigate the impacts of this climatic phenomenon. By blending interactive activities, group discussions, and hands-on exercises, the workshop fostered an environment conducive to active engagement and learning.

The workshop wasn’t just about disseminating information; it was a platform for fostering connections and sharing experiences among the diverse array of participants. With a deliberate focus on inclusivity, MCAN ensured that the content was accessible and relatable to all attendees. By casting a wide net, MCAN aimed to ensure that the insights and skills imparted during the workshop would resonate across different demographics, fostering resilience and cohesion within the Beledweyne community.
